House Plans
The specific house plans for Cottage Glen have not yet been selected, but good examples of possible designs from Ross Chapin Architects are on their website or the Details website. See especially the plans for the Coho cottage, Betty Lu cottage, Madrona house, and Elderberry house.
- The houses will be a combination of one-, one and one-half-, and two-story designs.
- Sizes will typically range from 1,000 to 1,600 square feet with 2, 3, or 4 bedrooms.
- All houses will have usable front and/or rear porches.
- A variety of elevations, siding materials and colors will be used so that, while a limited number of floor plans are used, no two buildings will be identical.
- While the exteriors will be traditional, interiors will feature open layouts with an emphasis on social space and relatively modest bedrooms and baths.
- Construction will achieve design interest through the use of traditional materials, attractive windows & doors, and roof & porch elements.
